We provide a van delivery service to our trade account and trade cash customers based in the local area (Greater Glasgow). We normally deliver orders on a same day basis depending on stock availability and our delivery service adheres to BSI quality assurance controls to guarantee the best service possible. Orders placed before 9:30am are usually delivered that morning. Orders placed before 1:30pm are usually delivered that afternoon.
If you are unsure if your delivery destination is covered please contact the relevant branch for more information. PLEASE NOTE: Van delivery is only available to account customers or regular trade cash customers. We do not deliver to residential areas.
Carrier (Flat Rate)
We use multiple carriers depending on the parcel size and speed of service reuqired. Delivery for next day parcels applies to all of the UK Mainland . UK Islands and Northern Ireland destinations may incur an additional charge. If you place an order and are charged the standard carriage but you are outside Mainland UK we will contact you to arrange the payment of the balance of the carriage charge.
Sample prices: UK Mainland up to 25kg next day service: £10 plus VAT. Note: Certain UK Mainland addresses may take 2-5 days rather than next day (Highlands and Islands).
Cut off time for next day orders is 12:00 each day. Unfortuately some carriers have earlier cut offs than others.
All consignments are fully tracked and signed for with electronic proof of delivery.
Any free carraige promotions apply to UK Mainland addresses only.
Smaller parcels can be shipped using Royal Mail recorded delivery or special delivery. Please contact us if you reuqire this service. Its often more economical for one off small items.
-The goods you order will be delivered to the address you give when you place your order.
-Orders placed before 2:00pm on a working day will be processed that day and will be delivered provided no additional security checks are required and all stock items are available. (A working day is any day other than weekends and bank or other public holidays.)
-If delivery cannot be made to your address for reasons under the Stanley R Harris Ltd's control we will inform you as soon as possible and refund or re-credit you for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for delivery.
-If you deliberately fail to take delivery of the goods (otherwise than by reason of circumstances under control of the Stanley R Harris Ltd) then without prejudice to any other right or remedy available to Stanley R Harris Ltd, we may:
1:store the goods until actual delivery and charge you for reasonable costs (including insurance) of storage; or
2:sell the goods at the best readily obtainable price and (after deducting all reasonable storage and selling expenses) account to you for any excess over the price you agreed to pay for the goods or charge you for any shortfall below the price you agreed to pay for the goods.
-If you fail to take delivery because you have cancelled your contract under the Distance Selling Regulations then Stanley R Harris Ltd shall refund or re-credit you within 30 days for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the goods, less any expenses incurred for failed delivery.
-Every effort will be made to deliver the goods as soon as possible after your order has been accepted. However, Stanley R Harris Ltd will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery. In this case, Stanley R Harris Ltd will inform you as soon as possible.
-Time for delivery shall not be of the essence. The goods may be delivered by the Stanley R Harris Ltd in advance of the quoted delivery date.
-Upon receipt of your order you will be asked to sign for the goods received in good condition. If you are unable to check the contents of the package at that moment in time please sign for the parcel as "UNCHECKED". Failure to do so may affect any warranty claims that you make thereafter.
